I start my new job early Monday morning at 7:15. While I am so grateful to have found a job I wanted, in the field I wanted, in the state I wanted, I'm still feeling really sad to be leaving Lawrence. Even though it took me awhile I did make some really great friends here.
I also hate the awkwardness of goodbyes. It's so weird to say goodbye to someone knowing that you very well may never see them again. Do we know each other well enough to give a goodbye hug? A handshake? A nod of the head and then go our separate directions? It's awkward and sad, and bittersweet to say goodbye. Lawrence is an awesome place to live and I'll miss it.
